I’ll give you love and space , he said.
She cried and said she wasn’t ready.
I’ll hold you up when you are weary, he said.
She hung her head and sighed.
I will hold your hand when you are scared, he said.
She leaned against him and felt his strength.
I’ll be your friend, I’ll bring you laughter, he said.
She looked him in the eyes and smiled a little smile.
I’ll sing your song when you are melancholy, he said.
She reached for the sky and danced to his voice.
I will build you a house and bring you home, he said.
She dreamt a little dream and laughed aloud.
I’ll grow old with you and tell our life’s story.
She closed her eyes and let herself fall.
